Biography

Mr. Barker graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree
and from the Citadel with a Master of Business Administration degree.

Mr. Barker served his country as a commissioned officer in the United States
Navy stationed in Charleston, South Carolina. During his Naval service, he
served on board USS Brumby during the Cold War, among other things
carrying out missions in Lebanon in support of our Marines deployed there; in
the Mediterranean Sea in support of various NATO operations, including
during our confrontation with Libya; and in the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf
region, including during confrontations with Iran and Iraq. Mr. Barker also
served on an admiral's staff, and was decorated for his service.

Following his naval service, Mr. Barker graduated cum laude from Pepperdine
University School of Law in Malibu, California. He is licensed in South Carolina, and practiced in Los Angeles before moving
permanently to Charleston, South Carolina to raise his family and practice
law.

As a family man, daughters Daryn and Dylan are Mr. Barker's pride and joy.
He and his family are active members of a local church.
