A Charleston native and Porter-Gaud graduate, Andrew Brener is passionate about helping people in difficult situations. With nearly a decade of legal experience, separation, divorce, and child custody are some of the practice areas he enjoys the most where he strives for the best possible outcome for his clients. In 2022 Andrew earned the prestigious American Bar Association certificate for Family Law Trial Advocacy to further hone his trial skills and allow him to continue being the most prepared person in any court room.

Having been through the family court system himself, Andrew brings empathy and understanding to your case. Praised by his clients and highly respected in the field, Andrew blends his social and caring personality with superb reasoning, advanced communication skills, and a strong desire to advocate for his clients. Andrew’s legal expertise includes a focus on large asset division, business valuation, and complex financial litigation.

Andrew attended Guilford College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science before moving to China. You read that right, his adventurous attitude led Andrew to spend 2 years between Beijing and Kunming, China gaining invaluable cultural experiences. His love for the Lowcountry and his family brought him back to Charleston where he obtained his Juris Doctor at Charleston School of Law. His parents recently retired to Sullivan’s Island after both practicing medicine in Charleston for the past 30 years. His family and friends are grateful that he enjoys sharing his knowledge of Chinese cuisine and his skillful preparation of Chinese fare.

Andrew loves good food, the beach, and his dog (in no particular order). He spends time with friends enjoying his favorite local restaurants and hunting for new cuisine to try. His favorite beach is Sullivan’s Island, where he calls home. His Great Pyrenees, Ollie, weighs over 100 pounds and prefers to drag Andrew to the park with him.
